TOXIC.

Our rotation in the Operating Room just finished last Saturday. Our group was grateful because we experienced a lot of cases during our stay in Morong Doctors Hospital for the last two weeks.

Our first day was just the same routine we usually do. Orientation, Guidelines, things to remember, etc. We do not have a case that time that's why we helped the nurses on duty to get the Vital Signs of the other patients. After we did so, we had our first test, a pre-test actually. then, we did our daily work sheets: NCP, Drug Study and Charting. The day went well after that.

Our second day was just the same like the first day, the only difference was we had a case. An Appendectomy. and luckily, it was my patient, after the operation, I have to get his Vital Signs for every 15 minutes. but unfortunately, during the time that I was getting the vital signs of my patient, is the time that our Clinical Instructor was discussing somethings to my other group mates. But she gave me consideration and taught me those things after I got my Patient's VS. We also had our second quiz that day. The result is way better than our pre-test. hehe. :)) then, we did our daily work sheets: NCP, Drug Study and Charting. The day went well after that.

Our third day was spent just like the other days. We also had another case which is Appendectomy but it was with a 9 year old patient. after the operation, we proceed on making our daily work sheets: NCP, Drug Study and Charting. The day went well after that.

The Second Week.

Our fourth day was the same again just like the other days. We also had another case which is Cholecystectomy. after the operation, we proceed on making our daily work sheets: NCP, Drug Study and Charting. The day went well after that.

Our fifth day was spent also just like the same. We didn't have any case at that day that's why we just proceed  on making our daily work sheets: NCP, Drug Study and Charting. but while we're checking our patient's chart, our Clinical Instructor gave us a surprise quiz and we had different sets because it is based on our patients. luckily, no one got failed on that exam. The day went well after that.

Our sixth and last day, I was expecting that it would be less work, less toxic since it was our last day, but I was wrong. It was definitely the toxic among our stay in the hospital. At 8am, we got our patients' Vital signs, then we proceed to the operating room because there was a case, which is Hemorrhoidectomy. then after the operation, we later found out that there will be another case which is a CS scheduled after lunch. We really thought that we will not have enough time to eat our lunch. good thing we managed our time wisely. :) After we ate our lunch, we proceed on getting the VS of our patients then went to the Operating room for the case then after cleaning all the materials, we went back to our room and took our Evaluation Exam, though it was a busy day, the result of our eval exam went well.

Our rotation last week was tiring but we had fun taking good care of our patients. Most of them is actually calling us as a Nurse. :) It was a good feeling to be called like that. :) I'm looking forward to other rotations this semester. :)

'till then, bye.

I've got an ANGEL. (:

disclaimer: not my own photo.

This is my currently favorite song. I really like it and its lyrics. haha. :)) This song is originally sung by Jack Johnson. I first heard this sung by James Reid of PBB when he was still inside the PBB house. I searched for it, and viola, it didn't disappoint me about it lyrics. hehehe. Anyway, here it goes.

I've got an angel
She doesn't wear any wings
She wears a heart that can melt my own
She wears a smile that can make me wanna sing

She gives me presents
With her presence alone
She gives me everything I could wish for
She gives me kisses on the lips just for coming home

She could make angels
I've seen it with my own eyes
You gotta be careful when you've got good love
Cause the angels will just keep on multiplying

But you're so busy changing the world
Just one smile can change all of mine

We share the same soul
Oh oh oh oh oh ohhh

We Share the same soul
Oh oh oh oh oh ohhh

We Share the same soul
Oh oh oh oh oh ohhh

Oh oh oh oh oh ohhh
Umm umm umm uhhhhhhmm

WHEN I WAS WITH YOU.

You're maybe wondering what's with the title of this blog, It was the title of my first poem. When I was cleaning my stuffs, I found interesting things back when I was in my high school years. Letters from friends, some doodles that I did when I was bored, and even those simple papers and things that has sentimental values and reminds me of those days. One of the things I saw was a written poem. Anyway, here it goes.

When I was with you

Thinking about you each day
Makes my heart feel so dismay
Though I don't want to believe it too
but still, I know it was true

Every time I think about you
I reminisce the past when I was with you
that was kept in my heart like a file
that made me happy even just a while

Back when I was in my third year high school, I wrote this poem. haha. for someone. this was actually my first ever poem that I've made, though there were actually two, I think, this would be the best one to share. :)

Sorry if it's just two stanzas, I think I don't have the talents in writing such poems. I just tried it before. hehe. sorry if it's not pretty. :)
anyway, thanks for reading. :)

'till then, Bye!

DOG LOVER.

this blog is just all about my dog. He's name is Nemo. A male shih tzu. He's 1 year and 9 months. He's turning 2 this October. Maybe you're wondering why his name is Nemo, well, my dad really gave him the name, and his reason was, his tail was like a fish when it moves.

Anyway, I could say that I've became a dog lover when he came to our home. At first, I was really hesitant to him because somehow, I was afraid of dogs. but when he came, I found myself attached to him.

I love playing with him. I love taking his pictures. I love watching him when he sleeps. I love taking care of him. so basically, I found myself caring for a dog just like a younger brother. (:

RAIN.

(disclaimer: not my own photo)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/degilbo_on_flickr/4224142275/
These past few days, it is beginning to rain again. Sometimes, we don't know if it's a good thing or not. For some people, like the farmers, it can help their crops to grow more and helps them to achieve certain money that they didn't have last summer because of the hot weather. For some students,  they think that it is the best way to cancel their classes. For some people who lives near lakes, water dams, creeks, and low subdivisions, it's not a good thing for they may encounter some floods. and for some, they just like the cold weather.

Many things can happen when it is raining. One may experience a hard time going home. Some may be stranded. Some may be playing in the rain. and some may just be at home and drinking a cup of coffee or hot chocolate with their love ones.

Rains for me hold a lot of memories. One of those I remember when I was a child, whenever I was asked why is it raining, I would answer them "Umiiyak si Jesus kasi maraming bad people." (Childhood memories :]] ) It was just when I entered my Kinder level I knew the real reason why it rains. :) haha.. :))

I just hope that as we continue encountering these rains, we won't experience another "Ondoy" in our country.

I like rains. Rains without thunders and lightnings, just rains that cools of the hot weather.

'till then. bye.
